For system integrators and managed service providers, Kaspersky was – and in many areas still is – a symbol of reliability. Between 2019 and 2021, many of our Darkgate partners deployed Kaspersky solutions in enterprise environments, critical infrastructure, and even industrial automation projects. Yet, as the cybersecurity landscape evolved, so did the ecosystem around it. Integrators began to diversify their portfolios, expanding from endpoint protection toward cloud-native security, SASE, and platform-driven ecosystems. Vendors that offered wide integration layers and API-based management gained momentum, especially in markets dominated by hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure. Kaspersky, traditionally focused on pure endpoint and malware defense, suddenly faced a market where architecture, visibility, and orchestration mattered as much as detection. This wasn’t a failure – it was a shift. A silent transition from a product-centric era to one defined by platform strategy and partner engagement. By the late 2010s, Kaspersky’s visibility in certain enterprise segments flattened, not because the technology lost its edge, but because market narratives changed. Integrators began looking for vendors with “ecosystem power” – those connected to the broader network of cloud providers, MDR platforms, and zero-trust frameworks. Kaspersky’s answer to this change was not loud, but deliberate. In the past few years, the company has undergone a strategic reinvention – focusing on transparency, trust, and integration as the foundation of its renewed identity. The introduction of Global Transparency Centers, where source code and data processing methods are open for independent review, marked a milestone in the industry. Few vendors have gone this far in providing visibility into their technology stack.
Alongside this, Kaspersky has expanded into industrial cybersecurity, threat intelligence, and managed detection and response (MDR) – areas that directly reflect where enterprise priorities are heading. Independent tests continue to highlight the company’s technical consistency: in 2024, Kaspersky achieved top-tier results in SE Labs and AV-Test benchmarks for detection accuracy and system performance. For system integrators, this positions Kaspersky not as a vendor of the past, but as one that understands how to evolve quietly and strategically. The company’s renewed emphasis on quality, collaboration, and openness shows that even long-established vendors can adapt with discipline and clarity. In a market increasingly defined by trust, transparency, and ecosystem readiness, Kaspersky stands as a reminder that innovation is not always about breaking things fast – sometimes, it’s about building them to last.
